Lonely

I am sure that none of you want to hear me whine and ramble on about my relationship, but too bad. I am really lonely right now. Courtney is in Orillia doing a placement for school, and I am here in North Bay all by myself with nothing but my tv, xbox and computer to keep me busy. Sure that sounds like lots to do, but coming home from work each night to no one, and not seeing anyone all night sucks.

I miss Courtney like crazy. We spent over a year living in different cities, but that doesn't make this time any easier. Now that we are living together, this time apart is that much harder. I love waking up next to Courtney every morning. I love being able to hug her, and make her smile. I love being able to relax her when she gets stressed from school. I miss her like crazy, and I can't wait 'til this weekend when I finally get to see her again.

Courtney, if you are reading this... I love you.

GOLD!

Well, our women's hockey team managed to dominate the whole game today against the Swedes and won the gold medal. Let's hope that it can inspire the men to play some better hockey.

The women's team is so incredibly powerful, I don't think even the US, had they made it to the finals, could have beat them. They were criticized by the US players for running up the score in their games, expecially against the host nation Italy, however it was the Italian coach that publicly THANKED the Canadians for showing them the respect of not letting up, and playing hard the whole game. The Italians said that it really helped show them what they need to do, and where they need to go to develop their hockey progam and get better as a team.

Congratulations Ladies, you have done it again. We are all proud of you.

what a crappy game

I give the Swiss full credit, they played a great trap game, and Gerber was amazing in net, but that game sucked. There was a whistle every two seconds from that horrific ref, and someone headed to the box with every whistle. I am in no way trying to imply that Canada lost because of the reffing, it was horrible for BOTH teams. There was no flow to the game, it must have been very frustrating for the players, on both teams.

oh yeah, and his glove was clearly in the net!

a new blog and a new job

For the next two weeks I have a job being office assistant for the engineering and environmental services department of the City of North Bay. It's a job I scored through the temp agency that I am registered with. I think that it will be good experience in a lot of ways, and lord knows I can use the money. Anyway, that's how I will be filling my days for the next two weeks, at least Mon - Fri.

On another note, many changes to the website tonight, including this blog. I am now set up to go through blogger.com which is run by google. This will make it easier for me to post, so maybe the posts will be a little more frequent. Who knows, maybe not.
